Quartz Crystal and Chalcedony SiO₂ formation – compact variety of microcrystalline quartz. Features a bursting cluster of radiating quartz crystals, botryoidal habit, all on a rhyolite matrix.

Orange color variations near crystal cluster are most likely due to an iron oxide coating on the microcrystalline quartz surface.
